Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer from Kampala/Entebbe to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

You will be picked up from your hotel or Entebbe International Airport by your safari guide. The journey to Bwindi takes you through the beautiful countryside, dotted with tea plantations, banana groves, and lively roadside markets. Lunch will be served en route in Mbarara before continuing to Bwindi, arriving in the late afternoon. Check into your lodge, relax, and enjoy the breathtaking views of the surrounding forest. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking Experience & Community Visit

After an early breakfast, proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla trekking. With the guidance of trained rangers, you will begin your trek through the dense forest in search of a gorilla family. The trek can take between 2 to 6 hours depending on the gorillas’ location. Once found, you will spend one unforgettable hour in their presence, observing their unique behaviors. In the afternoon, you may opt for a community walk to visit the Batwa pygmies or local homesteads for cultural performances and storytelling, gaining insights into their way of life. Day 3: Return to Kampala/Entebbe
