Day 1: Transfer from Kampala/Entebbe to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Your journey begins with a professional safari guide picking you up from your hotel or Entebbe International Airport. This 3-day gorilla trek starts with a drive southwards, crossing the Equator where you can stop for photographs and a brief demonstration. The journey to Bwindi takes you through the beautiful countryside, dotted with tea plantations, banana groves, and lively roadside markets.

A delicious lunch will be served en route in Mbarara, the “land of milk,” before continuing to the Kigezi Highlands, often called the “Switzerland of Africa.” Arriving in the late afternoon at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, you will check into your safari lodge.
