Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe – Transfer to Kampala
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, your safari guide will meet you and transfer you to a hotel in Kampala. Depending on your arrival time, you can explore the city or rest. Dinner and overnight stay in Kampala.
Day 2: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to mountain gorillas. En route, enjoy Uganda’s picturesque landscapes, rolling hills, and local villages. Arrive at your lodge for lunch, relax, and prepare for the gorilla trekking adventure the following day. Dinner and overnight stay near the park.
Day 3: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi
Following an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing before beginning your gorilla trekking expedition. The trek lasts between 2–6 hours depending on the gorilla family’s location. Spend an hour observing the gorillas, capturing memorable photos, and learning about their behaviors from rangers. After trekking, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park & Afternoon Game Drive
After breakfast, travel to Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest conservation area. Stop for lunch en route. In the afternoon, embark on a game drive in the park’s savanna plains. Expect to see elephants, lions, buffaloes, giraffes, leopards, and several antelope species. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 5: Morning Boat Cruise & Return to Kampala/Entebbe
Rise early for a boat cruise along the Nile River, heading to the base of the Murchison Falls. Along the river, you can spot hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and abundant birdlife.
